At Lime Academy Parnwell, we want to ensure that all pupils have access to rich and diverse experiences that help and support their learning in school. As part of our promise and commitment to support this, we have developed our “Parnwell Promise” which sets out the trips, visits and experiences all pupils in each of our year groups will be given the opportunity to enjoy.
By planning these across the year, we hope that it gives parents and carers the option to spread out any payment contributions, making the experiences more accessible for all.
As well as individual experiences tailored to each of the year groups, we also offer whole school experiences for all to access and enjoy.

Whole School Experiences
- Enjoy a Pantomime.
- Perform a Class Assembly.
- Be taught by a Dance teacher.
- Experience swimming lessons.
- Attend Forest School.
- Enjoy our OPAL approach lunchtime.
- Attend hot chocolate and stories evening and film night.
Reception Experiences
- Learn circus skills.
- Perform a Nativity at Kingsgate Church.
- Sit in a Police car/Fire engine.
- Watch Ducklings hatch.
- Visit a farm (Sacrewell).
- Visit a shp and learn how it is run.
Year 1 Experiences
- Visit the cinema.
- Grow our own beanstalk.
- See a Meerket up close.
- Go on a bus ride to Peterborough City Centre.
- Make Jewish Challah bread.
- Paddle in the sea (Hunstanton).
Year 2 Experiences
- Take part in a Christingle Service.
- Make and taste Mexican food.
- See Owls up close.
- Visit a Mosque.
- Experience Pond Dipping at Ferry Meadows.
- Great Fire of London experience.
Year 3 Experiences
- Visit a museum (under the Jurassic Sea).
- Learn how to print make.
- Learn how to play the recorder.
- Make and taste Chinese food.
- Visit Flag Fen.
- See inside a Hindu Temple.
- Visit a hotel to see how it is run.
Year 4 Experiences
- Perform at the Cresset Theatre.
- Visit Peterborough Cathedral.
- Learn to sew and make a diary.
- Go to London, to visit Buckingham Palace.
- Create a game with electrical circuits.
- Viking or Egyptian experience.
Year 5 Experiences
- Make and taste Greek food.
- Sit inside a Planetarium.
- Visit Ely Cathedral.
- Mayan for a day.
- Watch a play at a theatre.
- Learn to play the Ukulele.
Year 6 Experiences
- Cooking Guacamole and Hummus.

Nurture Experiences
